Series I Will Never Finish

So I started a post the other day (that has yet to be finished) detailing the series I have completed and those I have in progress and ... there were more than I had expected. I definitely want to give that post the attention it deserves, so I thought I'd come in from a different angle first.

So here is are the series that I started once upon a time and have no intentions of finishing.

The Gossip Girl Series- 11 + a Prequel
Last read: Nothing Can Keep Us Together (#8)

The It Girl Series- 10 Books
Last read: Lucky (#5)

The Clique Series- 15 Books

Last read: The Pretty Committee Strikes Back (#5)

The A-List Series- 10 Books

Last read: Back in Black (#5)

The Summer Boys Series- 4 Books

Last Read: Next Summer (#2)

I could give a little blurb about why I'm not going to finish each of these series individually, but they would all sound exactly the same, so here it goes.

There's nothing inherently unpleasant or boring about these series. I really enjoyed reading them through middle school (and possibly through my first years of high school, but who remembers those days really), but therein lies the problem. I enjoyed these when I was probably between the ages of 12-16 and I was an entirely different person then. 
Most of these are also set in high school or the characters are of the high school age, which was enthralling when I was that age as well and having a very boring high school experience, but I like to think I have matured since then and that isn't a setting or mindset I'm really familiar with any more. 
These books are what I'd consider "fun reads". They're indulgent and almost whimsical and they're not meant to get you thinking about anything deeper than the relationships they have to present. 

Middle School Jessica was way into these series, but 20-Something Jessica is no longer interested.
